If you’re returning from abroad, Test to Release allows you to reduce your quarantine to 5 days if you have a negative PCR test.
If you select the Fast Track Service you will receive your results the day after your test between 9am and midday. (The majority of results are sent by midday, but there is a small possibility that your sample may require a re-test at the laboratory and this can slightly delay your result.)
If you select the Standard Service, you will likely receive your results by 6pm the next day. (There is a small possibility that your sample may require a re-test at the laboratory and this can slightly delay your result and you could receive the result the morning after that by midday.)
Fast Track Tests are available between 8am and 11am, Monday to Saturday.
Standard Tests are available between 11.20am and 5pm Monday to Friday.
Under the scheme you can take a test 5 full days (or more) after you return.
Once you have booked your appointment with us we will email you your Patient ID Number, which you may need for your Passenger Locator Form.

On rare occasions swab tests give inconclusive results, after which the lab automatically retests your swab. A retest normally produces a successful result, but could delay your result by a few hours.
On very rare occasions, a person’s swab test will be tested twice and still have an inconclusive result, meaning a second swab test will be needed. However, the invalid rate is just 0.2%.
